also known, is software that is installed on your computer without
your knowledge. Different types of spyware do different things;
some track your internet usage without your knowledge and report
it to companies that use this information for their profit, some
display popup advertisements when you are surfing the internet,
some will go so far as to log everything you type (including usernames
and passwords) and send this information to other people.
